چکیده

Abstract Aims Cavotricuspid isthmus ablation is a routine procedure in electrophysiology laboratories. It mainly performed as treatment for cavotricuspid isthmus-dependent atrial flutter, which rare young patients without structural heart disease. Safety and efficacy data regarding this such are scarce. In case series we present the clinical characteristics related outcomes of 3 juvenile overt disease who underwent our Hospital recurrent typical flutter. Methods Results Of 1217 flutter procedures from 2003 to 2022, were on juvenile, otherwise healthy patients. The median patient age was 19.3 years old. All them had history paroxysmal initially terminated with electrical cardioversion. Given no pharmacological prophylaxis initiated, but subsequent recurrence decided an ablative strategy. Echocardiography and/or MRI excluded One experienced induced tachycardiomyopathy, while one previous arrhythmia relapse. conducted using standard equipment successfully, significant complications. Baseline electric recorded block conduction confirmed protocols. Conclusion Recurrent Patients exceptionally rare, seldom performed. characteristics, whom radiofrequency successfully

Predictors of atrial fibrillation after ablation of typical atrial flutter.

BACKGROUND The occurrence of atrial fibrillation (AF) after successful ablation of cavotricuspid isthmus-dependent atrial flutter (CTI-AFL) is an important medical event, but predictors of this event are still controversial. OBJECTIVE To determine the incidence of AF and its predictors in patients undergoing ablation of cavotricuspid isthmus-dependent atrial flutter (CTI-AFL). METHODS Fifty...

Ablation of typical atrial flutter using a novel non-fluoroscopic

1 Interv. Cardiol. (2014) 6(2), 00–00 ISSN 1755-5302 Summary Typical atrial flutter is characterized by a stable macro-reentrant circuit around the tricuspid annulus with the cavotricuspid isthmus serving as the critical zone of slow conduction. Catheter ablation targeting this isthmus provides a curative and safe treatment option for the vast majority of patients with atrial flutter. The conve...

[Next cardioversion or RF ablation in professional driver with recurrent typical atrial flutter and MAS syndromes].

We describe a 42-year-old professional driver with hypertension, obesity and recurrent episodes of highly symptomatic typical atrial flutter. Despite chronic sotalol treatment, 1:1 AV conduction with RBBB-morphology was observed. After excluding of thrombus in the heart chambers, the 'urgent' and successful RF ablation was performed.

Symptomatic improvement after radiofrequency catheter ablation for typical atrial flutter.

OBJECTIVE To assess the changes in quality of life, arrhythmia symptoms, and hospital resource utilisation following catheter ablation of typical atrial flutter. DESIGN Patient questionnaire to compare the time interval following ablation with a similar time interval before ablation. SETTING Tertiary referral centre. PATIENTS 63 consecutive patients were studied. Four patients subsequentl...
